If you have ever been to an Outback Steakhouse you have had a Bloomin’ Onion, it’s in the rules. Because unless you have a deep fryer at home you just can’t make one the same on your own.
It’s a rather simple sauce that you can change up to suit your preference. This is the perfect condiment for onion rings or french fries.
Horseradish matters. There are lots of options out there but this is one that I like. Processed horseradish is usually near the mustard at the grocery store. There are different heat levels, whatever your preference is will work fine in the bloomin onion sauce. One thing I always look at is the ingredients, grated horseradish should be the first ingredient. If it isn’t then it is going to be more sauce than horseradish.
Mix it all up good and let it rest for at least 10 minutes before you enjoy it. Feel free to kick up the heat some by adding in a bit of cayenne or dried chipotle powder if you want it spicy!
