Pickled Onions. So simple, yet so good.
Pickled Onions. Simple and amazing. They go great on tacos, burger, hot dogs or just about anything else.
Heat the vinegar, sugar and salt while you chop the onions. Add the onions and pickle crisp then cover and allow to steep for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes put the onions into jars and top with the liquid. There ya are, that’s it!
Pickled Onions are a blank canvas for experimenting. Add some chipotle peppers to the brine and kick up the heat a bit. Mustard seeds and some spices and its something completely different. Fresh Jalapenos and garlic for some zip, there are tons of options.
As a side note you will most likely have extra liquid depending upon the size of the onions you used. You can add extra onions if they are small. They syrup is good for a glaze on pork or chicken, but that’s another story. Enjoy!
