Good steak cooked well doesn’t require steak sauce. But lets be honest it sure is good at times!
The Best Balsamic Steak sauce is simple and a great topping for steak but also goes well on burgers!
Mince a shallot and saute it in some butter. A shallot is a type of onion, so if you don’t have one use an onion. You can also add some garlic to the saute if you desire.
Balsamic Vinegar. I don’t know it’s been hiding all of my life but it is certainly something that I have been missing out on!
I’ve come to understand that there are about 749 thousand different kinds of balsamic vinegar out there. I am unsure of all of the differences or why some of it is more expensive than liquor but I haven’t ventured to the expensive ones yet.
The Best Balsamic Steak Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 ea shallot minced about 1/4 cup
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
Instructions
- Mince the shallot. About 1/4 cup minced. Saute the shallot in the butter until translucent.
- Add the balsamic vinegar and sugar. Stir to combine.
- Bring the sauce to a simmer while stirring. Simmer for about 10 minutes or until your desired consistency. Serve warm over steak and enjoy!
